My recent project, "Emotions" explores the personalities and emotions displayed by the living ecosystem, which is the Great Lakes near my home. Previously we have viewed water as a resource that is ours to use. I explored the idea that water is a living, breathing entity that displays emotions. The water can be angry or peaceful. It can express joy. In the future, if we are to live sustainably and ensure our children inherit a healthy Home, then our views of the Earth and the "resources" around us must change. My recent work seeks to explore water and encourage others to recontextualize our understanding of nature as more than something to be used for our gain.
